We are the Midnighters!
We have been playing and training twice a week at the Eissporthalle Mainz just behind the Bruchweg soccer stadium
for more than ten years now. We meet every Wednesday and Friday at a late hour (the time is suggested by our name!) to get rid of the stresses and strains of every day life with a cultured game of hockey.Ice hockey is our passion!
We play only for pleasure and include players of all ages and abilities. Because we are not a registered club we do not have to get involved with rules and regulations, association fees, meetings of the membership and elections for board members. If you join us, you will find that all we ever do is play ice hockey! Everybody from the “old codgers” who were around when the team was formed in the early nineties to the “newbies” who have joined over the last few years have one thing in common – we all just love ice hockey.
No pain, no gain!
We play ice hockey because we love it and don’t have to prove anything to anybody – apart from ourselves. And because we believe in ourselves we try to improve our game every week. That is why we never ignore training. We believe that it’s not too much to ask to practise a few moves before we end the session with a game.
